Unmanned Helicopter Structure

CUSTOMER REQUEST

Customer was entering the unmanned helicopter market and needed a composite structure design that could fit the avionics package and support the layout of the existing prototype.

CTT was contacted to perform the required engineering and production.

CHALLENGE

Without a commitment for serial production, CTT had to develop tooling that could satisfy prototype and serial production, while maintaining the lowest sunk costs possible.

SOLUTION

CTT team was able to design a structure that is both attractive and satisfies the physical requirements for the unmanned helicopter. Based on the experience on the prototype production, customer decided to award serial production of the helicopter to CTT.
