Our customer, a well known artist, designed a statue that was inspired by audio waves and was struggling with manufacturing the piece in order to achieve the initial design concept. After not being able to find a solution locally, customer reached across the globe and contacted CTT asking for a solution.
Complex shape and choice of materials made the production of the statue very risky. Budget that remained for finishing the piece did not leave any room for error. In addition, statue was to be transported to North America, and special considerations needed to be taken when it comes to shipping.
CTT had to once again lean on its extensive experience in composite production, and the team was able to design tooling that would guarantee first time success. In order to meet the cost considerations, tooling was designed for one time use. So, everything had to go per plan…
As expected, team was able to once again stand up to the challenge, and customer had their status on time and on budget.
